  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

They were supposed to get me one prior to Cinegear, which just didn't work out with my schedule bc I was on set and couldn't link up with them to borrow the unit for like 12 hours, then drive it back down to them at Cinegear. You're more than welcome to not pay within the 2-weeks, but you'd forfeit your place in line.

Paypal I don't believe will be an option. Only wire transfers since the money is going directly to Hong Kong.

I'm trying to help Tilta make everyone happy, but unfortunately there will always be those who aren't.

That is definitely not fair to pay for two untested unit or else lose the spot. Please extend the (Payment) deadline until they send you a unit to test.

Or else Please find out and explain the return policy on these units

As I stated before, I'll hopefully have a pre-prod unit around June 10, (which will probably have some issues/quirks that won't be in the final production run) and I'll try and post a quick walk around of it. There are lots of videos from NAB and Cinegear that show the unit performing though, so feel free to check those out in the meantime.

You can't please everyone and I understand you're frustrated, but be appreciative of what we're getting here. I know the savings is small, but we get priority allocations. You're more than welcome to back out, lots of others waiting to take your spot.

It's not just about me.
It's also about a minimum of consideration on the part of Tilta for the almost 600 folks who placed their orders here too.
Appreciation should be a two way street.

I already sent them my ordering info. I'm definitely still interested.

That being said, I much prefer to use Venmo/Paypal/Credit, so I'd love to support any movement to get more payment options.

So it's a $100 discount. My Bank charges $75 for an international wire fee. And then I have to go there and do it. I think they should add a reasonable payment plan. Every other tilta product I've bought I paid for with PayPal.

I would humbly push for a more reasonable payment option.

Woah! No way! I thought by wire, they meant an ACH Bank Transfer (which is usually free). I don't think I've ever done a "wire" payment if it is not ACH...

As the other people have said, we than you for all your hard work Chris and definitely don't blame you if Tilta has these odd requirements.
 
Ok..just finished private messaging everyone in the group buy...yea...that took a minute.

So everyone should have all the ordering info. Still awaiting Tilta's paypal/credit card response. Trying to make it happen. Will keep you guys posted.
