  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

GROUP BUY - Tilta Nucleus-M Wireless Follow Focus

Chris,

Will you or someone be putting a unit through testing to validate how well the form and function is with the Nucleus-M?

Or has this already taken place and everyone is comfortable with it all. I only ask as I was part of the other Tilta WFF Group Buy a while back, that took on a life of its own, which seemed to put Matt thru the wringer with the Group Buy and I wanted to make sure we were not all under the NAB Sweet Air Effect to buy something!!

Just curious.
Thanks.

Bill

Tilta is trying to get one in my hands around May 20. I hope to put it through the paces then and give you guys a quick/dirty review of it. Obviously a lot of people were blown away by the build quality, specs, etc for the price of only $1200 at NAB. Tilta has assured me their product will look/feel/be made of the exact same materials and nothing would change. From what little I've played with it, (2x now - NAB and Tilta Store Grand Opening), it seems very solid and would be a great addition to anyone's kit. The price simply cannot be beat.

Agree with Bill, I'm honestly astonished about the size gained by this GB just based on trust, and not much specs, nothing bad I mean

Thank you Chris! The more information and specs you can have from Tilta the happier the GB will be :)
Of course the price is amazing. But would be great to understand if we got something well built and quite precise motors, or it's better to give up the second motor, the handgrips, and get something like the PDMovie Remote Air 2 (PD1-N) at the same price (1199$). Unfortunately I had no chance to try both at NAB. Maybe someone else can tells more about both, especially motors precision and responsiveness... At this price I think PDMovie it's the only real opponent to compare

+1 I think, but how would this work with an order from London, UK shipping logistics and cost wise, and how would payment be made (assume I would have to pay in US dollars?).

I would read previous posts, but this is a massive thread!

Please add one to my order! 2 total, thanks

Nothing is certain yet but due to the way the EU handles imports I have suggested that all units destined for EU buyers be shipped and processed through customs as a single batch by Tilta, before sending them out to individual buyers.
Chris kindly agreed to discuss this idea with Tilta - waiting to hear from them.

+1 Can i add a second one to my order...just realized I forgot to mention tht.

I added your second order towards the bottom, just so I don't have to renumber everything, but you'll retain your first spot.

So shipping in bulk to the UK won't happen - coming from Tilta. It would significantly delay orders as opposed to shipping individually and directly from China to each person. It substantially increases costs since it's 2 shipments as opposed to 1. Even those of us in the USA will be getting direct shipments from China. Tilta has again, assured me customs won't be an issue for their products entering any country.

OK put me down for one kit. From your post, can I assume we would be paying Tilta directly?

im not sure how they will handle customs for every country as almost every country has different tax, fees and duties... but good on them of taking care of that (if i got it right)
