Damn that's a good price. Really good. My only fear is movi coming out w something awesome. How is the stabilization compared to movi? I know it's strong, but what about the other aspects of the software?

It has performed really well in my testing/use. Who knows what lies ahead in terms of new products coming...I just know this one is amazing even at full MSRP...but at this price, how could you not?

I'll hold off till the end but pretty sure I'll jump in

I'm looking at the website/manual. Not super complete with info. Can you also power the camera from the Tilta battery? are additional batteries available? what's the w/h on those?

Hi, am currently using Movi. Some major positives with this rig appear to be knobs for fine adjust, beefy motors and payload, neat cable distro and included case. Lots of loose ends addressed. Very interesting!

Hope you don't mind some questions: I see on the Tilta website "1 quick release baseplate"... Is this the Tilta equivalent of Freefly "Toad in the Hole", and can it be used same way to quickly pop off handle and on to jib or other support device? If so, can additional plates be purchased?

Secondly, all the videos I have been able to see of the mimic of the Mimic (M squared?) show pronounced lag. The Freefly version has almost none, very precise. Have you been able to observe whether precision can be dialed in/ tuned via app with the Tilta Gravity version? (Another positive I see in videos is all electronics and wiring appear enclosed and protected on the Tilta mimic; more robust for production environment.)

And last, do you know whether the wireless connections are Spektra, Futaba, or otherwise based? (Already using wheels control as well as Mimic and wondering about compatibility, or potential to create compatibility, with what I already have.)

Thank you for all your excellent group buys. Really good stuff!!

You can power it from the Tilta battery via a cable..the battery is 2200mah or 32.56wh and 14.8V. You'd obviously get significantly less run-times while powering the camera, but that is an option. You would need a custom cable though as one is not included in this kit. Cable to be released soon by Tilta.

Yes, you can order additional batteries for a price of $165 each - top tier 25% off = $123.75 each . (2) are included in this GB.

Yea, Titla has addressed a lot of those issues that plagued other gimbals. The quick release base plate is in essence a base plate with a rod adapter for FF/MB. It does NOT work like the Toad in the Hole, however, I think they will be releasing 2 types of plates/receivers here in the coming future that will enable you go attach to a jib quickly, or even take your camera off the gimbal and mount directly to a tripod.

Regarding the Mimic feature...I don't really notice any lag. You can adjust the dampening specifically for the Mimic mode...so maybe it was set to a high amount for that video? It is very responsive.

I asked about a regular controller, and presently, that is not on the road map for them, but if enough people request it, maybe it will be.

I'm down for one. I've been looking at the Tilta Gravity gimbal for quite a while. I had my Letus go TU on me a few months back and haven't found a worthy replacement yet.
Is there an official sign up page for this group by, or are we just handling everything through the forum?

Following this GB! Thanks for putting this together Chris! Will definitely be interested if the numbers get up there. Thanks for your response and confidence with running this with the Red Pro Primes.

We'll get there for sure! Putting you down!

Gotcha down!

Question: If you reach your target for Gravity Gimbal's, Can I just buy the Armorman with the discount. I have no interest in the Gravity Gimbal, but I'd like to pick up an Armorman. Thanks!

thanks for putting together Chris... count me in for the gimbal ( as long as I am first lol )

I went to Abelcine today and took my Raven with Sigma glass and a v lock - and it flew all of it like butter! I can tell you this thing is legit - love the build quality and it's actually quick to setup and balance. I was very impressed, no issues and I ran around the store trying to find a lag or glitch - was awesome. I immediately made up my mind, plus they have so many accessories, nice big case and everything you need to fly.

@Chris - please put me down for one!

Let me know if you want me to put you down!

I definitely will! Going to try and get some stuff together before the end of the month but this seems like a no-brainer. One question: is there a limit or ceiling to the number of orders in the GB?
