  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Group Buy - Tilta Gravity Gimbal

Chris, is there anyway you can have the group buy include:

Extra batteries
Mounting Plate

I was about to pull the trigger before this GB and they had added a mounting plate (for mounting to cheese plates, vibrations mounts, etc) to my invoice. I figure extra batts and mounting plate are items everyone in GB will want.

Possibly the mounting plate...I'll check to see. You can order extra batteries for the same discount.

It is better than walking without it that's for sure...so I'd say it does a decent job. The new V2 arms are far superior than V1 and it lets you mount/un-mount quickly.

Possibly...though I would think you'd receive it before then. You can ping them once the GB completes to see if they can hold it for you here in the states. Something to consider though would be the import charges back into your home country if customs knows/wants to know what it is.
 
I'd be in for Gravity, if it hits the high level discount, and depending on feedback from other RU guys going to Abel.

See that they're, of course, using Tiltamax FF.... finally ready for prime time/ close to release? Kudos to Tilta for refusing to unleash a 1/2 baked product, making sure it is worth the wait. Inspires (no pun intended) confidence in the other products, which they are apparently ready to spotlight.

Just flip it up, auto-engages inverted mode, good to go! Note the camera will be flipped upside down, you could always flip it manually before going inverted, but that's more time.

With the Armoman V2...the rig becomes a lot higher in terms of its height/reach...so you may not even need inverted mode depending on your stature.

Chris, when you say flip it manually, what does that mean? Is that build and balance it in inverted mode? I get that you can flip the camera upside down to make it higher, but trying to understand if there's a way to invert AND keep it rightside up.....

Yeah you gotta email them first and book a time to look at it. They haven't got them in stock, only that one demo I think....not sure about Tilta office.
 
Point is - they don't have the (Only existant unit in the world?) Demo in stock at Abel.

Why would I have to CALL ABEL to have them CALL TILTA to Bring the demo to Abel?

Sorry - this is not meant to be aggressive - just funny that I would have to jump through hoops to go see it, when someone (you?) just tried it at Abel the other day.
 
I emailed Tilta first to ask about their store and if I could try it, they then ushered me over to Abel to arrange a demo with them.
For some reason, Tilta came and took it back.
 
Lol what plot - I think there's literally like 1 or 2 units available here in la on demo - so that's why I'd say
 
Chris, can the arm be shortened? seems the arm's got 2 sections with some sort of joiner
