  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

GROUP BUY - SmallHD Production/HDR Monitors

There are a LOT of 13" requests... is this for primarily AC or Director use? Or am I missing something? I got 24" for client monitor and multiple heads viewing. Thoights?

Brian and anyone else wondering -

When you order on our site (with the coupon Chris gives you) just order all the accessories you would like as well. You will get the discount on the monitor and the Production monitor accessories. As far as the tablestand vs cstand go ahead and add the table stand kit to your order and then shoot me an email daveb@smallhd.com with your order number and I will apply the 175$ accessory discount to your order (Unfortunately I had no way to make a coupon code that would give you 20% off plus the 175$ accessory credit so I will need to do the accessory credit manually once you put in the order.

Please put me in for a 13"!

In answer to Brandon's query above, and speaking only for myself, I shoot a lot of smallish, fast moving jobs, like political campaign ads. Sometimes we just use my venerable 8.4" Panasonic as a monitor, particularly when 'just going for some b-roll'. The 13" seems like a good upgrade from that, actually a great one, and I think it'll often fill the role of a 17" as well, where I only have one director/producer/client really watching it. And I think I can fit the 13" with its aks plus camera aks, charger, Teradek, etc. into the same size Pelican/Storm case that a 17" would go in. Keeping the package compact is very important to me.

ps: that Panasonic BTLH-900 has served me well for over ten years now, never needed service, got calibrated once or twice. Last time, the tech said it was almost right on already. That the kind of performance all manufacturers should strive for!

Chris,

In Post #35, you indicated that the discount would also apply to accessories. Prompts a couple of questions:

1. Do we need to indicate the accessories we intend to purchase on this thread or do we simply add those to the order after the code is issued?

2. About the C-Stand adapter now included with each model (Thanks Small HD!!!) - Can we choose to "upgrade" to include the table stand and simply pay the difference minus 20% ?
From the accessories photos, it looks like the table stand itself is part of a kit that already includes the C-Stand adapter.

Kudos!

You do not need to indicate which accessories you're ordering as you do that when you actually place the order.

Yes, you can add the table stand and pay the discounted rate, but no, the table stand is ONLY included with the 24" and 32" HDR.

He did last night. Should be active now or in the near future. Thanks so much!!!

No prob!

Personally, I LOVE the 13". If you can swing the 24", that's ideal for Directors/Producers, or multiple heads around the screen, but the 13" is a great size too. The reason most people are going with the 13" could be because of the price point and size. It's kinda the best of both worlds.

Hi David, does the $175 accessory discount only apply if you order the cstand/tablestand? Or can I order v-mount power kit (with my 13 HDR) and still get that discount? Cheers

Appreciate the solution to my query.

Will be going for a 13" HDR with a few aks.
Thin HDSDI cables are considered accessories as well?

Tnx

You get an HDMI cable with every monitor, so yea, the SDI ones are not included.

I meant ordering additional thin HDSDI cables as accessories - not whether they were included with the monitor.
Planning on ordering some.

Ahh ok...yea..those should also be discounted
