Are these Sachtler copies?

They look exactly like my Sachtler head. Are they as good? Is there a copyright issue? (I know that Sachtler parent company Vitec pursues their copyrights extensively)

I'm not sure about copyright, though I wouldn't think there's any issue as Secced has been around a long while now. These things tripods are amazing, and at this price, a no brainer!

Let me check and see for you. They are essentially throwing in all the accessories, but I'll check.

Ok...so here's the response directly from Secced regarding the patent and if you can purchase just a tripod head:

To answer the patent question, Secced fluid head designs are actually patented in Europe (registration number 001090492-0001) since 2009. While they certainly have visual similarities (how different can a fluid head look, really), up close there are readily apparent visual and operational differences.

Regarding fluid heads by themselves, certainly we can do that. The MSRPs are as follows: Reach Plus 3 head 1090, Reach Plus 4 head 2499, Reach plus 5 head 3499.

They can't break down individual orders like that, it just complicates things with the discounts. So you can either get just the head, or the entire package. Let me know if you want to be added.

The baby legs are a single stage system with a minimum height of 5" contingent on what head your mounting to the legs. They use the same accessories as their 2-stage counterparts!
