  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Group Buy: Optitron2 - Wireless remote for Canon/Nikon glass

I payed a deposit but haven't received an invoice yet, probably also because I said my order would depend on the discount.

So I wonder: are we official at 15% discount now?

The timing likely has more to do with when you remitted your deposit:

We'll start sending out invoice balances and confirmation of the the shopping lists in the order the deposits were received.

Ok don't want to sound ott but this thing is fucking great! I was going to get rid of my L's but they feel like new lenses

I would love to find a way to rig a small wireless monitor system of or with the unit

But seriously wow, very impressed

Told you, Suresh. No one believes me until they own one. Then they say, "Wow!"

:-)

I received shipping confirmation today and I was told that mine was one of several going out. Deliveries should be dropping in numbers soon. Please sound off when yours arrives.

I have not received anything yet? Haven't been contacted or invoiced.

Me neither, but I was a bit late to put down my deposit. I'm sure everything is fine

all good guys- accounting is a bit slow these days but, in the mean time , we are cranking out the kits. No time lost you'll just keep your money a little longer ;-)

Got my PayPal invoice during the night (over here).
Cant wait to get my kit. Been thinking about it for 2 years.

Waiting for my tracking number, paid before the weekend. Can't wait to get it. I played with the unit Gunleik had at his office a while back. It just felt incredible solid the whole setup

Wow guys, this is accurate and repeatable, just as he claims. It feels solid and is pretty responsive too. I'm going to get used to this.

It really does make my L's much more viable.

As a bonus, it seems like every other guy is selling their L glass to move to a certain FF mirror less system....

Maybe it makes me weird, but you can take the film out of my still camera and give me a sensor but don't touch my mirror! I need to feel that thing flip when I squeeze one off and I love my L's. They aren't going anywhere unless I'm trading up to newer L's. I'm just happy to finally be able to pull focus with them on Scarlet the way I need to.

How are deliveries coming? Are you being served? ;-)

Just tested mine. Works flawlessly on my Canon 24-70mm f2.8i. Love it. Did not realize it also controls iris so that's an added benefit. A couple of questions:

1) Is the quick release mount a 16by9 Cine Lock? I want to add some males on my rig so I can mount on handles.

2) How did I live without this for so long? Never used a cine lens before, but have to think this is what it is like. Gives you way more control over focus than without it.
