  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Absolutely. The array as a very small cone...so it's very directional and spreads as the distance expands, but yea, it would defn help through walls. But honestly, you should be able to go through walls no problem without the array. How far are you going?

Thanks Chris, just asking because I am actually considering putting in my rental list and want to be sure clients can use it within most scenarios they will encounter which is barely more than a 100m in most cases (and maybe a wall in between sometimes).
 
Haven't received shipping info either. Was told it would ship last week, followed up early this week and was told it would go out this past week.

Anyone know if the 500ft receiver will work with the 1000ft transmitter? Looking to pick up an extra receiver for wireless follow focus and don't have the budget for an extra 1000ft receiver

They are all interchangeable.

Finally received my unit yesterday and I am very impressed with the build quality. And my initial testing within the house was impressive. Got signal across 2 walls within my apartment! Rained through most of today, couldn't take it outdoor do any thing across buildings. So far its a really good piece of equipment. Thanks Chris
 
Hello everyone,

Vaxis released a Dual Director's Monitor Cage *accepts virtually any monitor up to 7" on-camera monitor. enables mounting two monitors side-by-side.

Regarding power supply, Vaxis dual cage allows for the mounting of one V-mount or Gold mount plate for battery power to 2 monitors and 2 wireless receivers, and it also leaves plenty of room for wireless equipment, so you can remain untethered on set.

Anyone know what the voltage range is for the Storm 1000+ transmitter and receiver? Haven't been able to find anything online. Also, wondering if it has reverse polarity protection in case the d-tap is connected incorrectly?
 
We received our Vaxis Storm 1000+ systems just in time as we began prep this week for season 4 of a network series. Already one of the 1st ACs wants to buy a system for himself.

Great build quality, better antenna design, compact size, and fantastic range (I walked outside and down the street from Panavision and still had a signal even when the receiver showed NO bars).

The service from Julie has been great.

Thanks again to Chris for his hard work organizing the group buy.
