Just got word BT dongle is shipping, should have it by end of the week.
 
Update- Very strange but after removing the app and reinstalling three times it actually showed Gemini instead of a lightbulb as connected device type. Now I have full control and it is working just great but wish the app had Fx mode available. Maybe they will add in next app update.



Starting to wonder if they sent me the wrong BT dongle, all sorts of problems. Although connected via light and app there is no control over light other than dim nor do any of the controls match the controls the app is supposed to have over the light. Bit frustrated but hoping it has been a long weekend and I am just missing something obvious.

Are you on the latest firmware? And are you sure the app is connecting? I was dumb on this point. You have to hold down the on button on the dongle till it blinks rapidly to make them connect. After I had the latest firmware, and the the right procedure it works fantastically.
 
Yes had the latest firmware as that fixed all the rotary accuracy issues ;) The app connected and confirmed pairing but acted like it was just a LED bulb (Icon was bulb) and did not show it as Gemini with panel icon so only would control dim setting and preset Kelvin levels. It was very strange, all is great now so will chalk it up to either user error or gremlins. I also had some issues with my DS1's and the wifi app for them when first setting them up as well but after the same several app wipes and reinstalls all was well. Love and hate technology ;)
 
Ugg, this is giving me a headache, so I'm going to vent here. Finally got an email a while back that my BT dongle was on the way with a tracking number. When I went to my ups and usps accounts nothing showed up. So I went to Adorama to check my account see what it said. Still says backordered, so, confused, I went back to the email with tracking number clicked it and it said could not be found. A day or so later the tracking number worked but there was no name on the address so it still was not showing up on usps or ups accounts, still says back ordered on Adorama with no tracking number there. Today got a notification that it was given over to usps from ups via UPS Mail Innovations® Expedited (no insurance by the way) and delivered to my mailbox, I go down there and find nothing. Both ups and usps say delivered to mailbox, so I go back to check Adorama and it still says back ordered and no tracking number there. What the hell? Little help here?
 
David, same thing happened here but it was in my mailbox, sorry to hear your's is MIA. Mine still also shows as back ordered and tacking number via email just started working today and now shows delivered. I do know sometimes USPS states delivered to mailbox even though it is just out for delivery so hoping it means you still may get it today...
 
Hm interesting, thanks for the reply, just checked again and nothing, hoping it just got put in the wrong box and I'll get it when somebody checks it and realizes it's the wrong apt. but it's not looking good.

Got my UPS package from Adorama which was supposed to have the Snapbag. Opened it up and I got a $95 green duffle bag instead. Looks like the duffle bag has the same item number as the snapbag. Gonna contact Adorama now, but I had to post it because, while the duffle bag is good for holding stuff, it's horrible as a light modifier.
 
Any word on the dongles? I could use mine about now. Really wish this would have just been built in from the get go. Adorama seems to have no idea when they will arrive.

Update: Adorama is "investigating" the issue while I wait with my green duffle bag. They say it takes 3 business days. They're making me take photos of the duffle bag. Apparently they can't just say, oops we made a mistake and send me the right item.

I would not recommend anyone order anything from Adorama - much worse than B&H, that's for sure.
 
B&H is now selling the Gemini with a code that is a great deal because it includes a free C Stand and Barn Doors for $3298.

Adorama has been great during this whole process. The entire reason the Gemini was 25% off and the reason everyone was able to get aks for an additional 25% was because Adorama was willing to fulfill those orders. There have been some stocking issues that have nothing to do with Adorama. Every company makes mistakes. Of course they have to verify your story, if their inventory shows the snapbag having been sent out!

I find your response here to be a little dramatic but let me know if I can step in and help out.

You mean $4298? Basically, it's a free c-stand and barn doors for slightly more than retail price.

If you bought a Gemini here during the group buy and included the barn doors, you'd still have $910 left over to buy as many c-stands as you'd like.

With the code its another $1000 off.
 
So I just got my 2 BT Dongles today from Badorama and they are Manfrotto dongles for LYKOS led lights. Is that right? I thought I was ordering legit Gemini accessories.
