  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

GROUP BUY - Litepanels Gemini 2X1 and 1X1

Any idea how the 1x1 or 2x1 compares to a kino flo freestyle 21? The kino seems lighter, thinner and easier to rig. I'm assuming the litepanel 1x1 is brighter.

Gemini is over twice as bright. The Gemini's FX and color mode is far more customizable and sophisticated. Kino is using a separate controller and ballast to get that thin look on the panel itself. I personally do not like this solution but that is just me. Gemini has a built-in ballast. And I've yet to want to rig it in a way that I could not due to size or weight. Thanks for the question!

The single mount plate is purpose built for the 1X1. The dual mount plate is for the 2X1. Using a single 150 AB Dionic brick from this group buy, you could expect around 60 mins of power at full brightness on the 1X1. You'd need 2X of the 150wh AB bricks on the 2X1 to achieve the same thing. As most of these lights are not often ran at full power, results may vary. You could run it for 2hrs at half power. It's not uncommon for me to run my 2X1 at below 15% intensity during interviews inside for instance. And that's with a Snapbag and Grid.
 
Hi, please put me down for the 1x1- kit #1 and the gold mount battery plate. Is it possible to also put the barn doors on this order?

Hey Travis. I wanted to make a quick change to my order. I’d like to remove the 2 v-mount plates. So just the 2 1x1 Gemini’s
 
Hey Travis, thanks for putting this together! I'm on the fence between a bare 2x1 or a 2x1 kit #1. Which is more likely to reach the higher discount? Either way count me in for a 2x1 and a gold battery plate!

Both will reach max discount! GB has only been live for a few days and we are running for 3 weeks. We have a lot of options but I'm confident all lighting packages will reach the max discount levels, which makes the 2X1 Kit #1 the best deal.
 
I already have a pair of 2x1's, which is my new favorite light. It is a great package (we have the full kit with soft box, grids and barn doors in a case). The quality of the led is a big step up from what is in our Kino Celebs.
Plus the Gemini has over 2X more light than the Celeb 200 and more than the larger Celeb 400. The Celebs have not been turned on since they arrived :(
