  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Group Buy: L'Aigle Exoskeleton

OK ..... Tackle Tackle... Block.. and score (lol)... pick me pick me (lol)

Ok getting back on my two weeks Silent Mode (lol)

The recent changes definitely added cost. Not out of line with the prices of steadicams, vests, etc. of yore when there was no overseas competition for Garrett Brown.

Also a no brainer when you consider the cost of medical bills. Studies indicate that abuse of the skeletal system results in cumulative, non repairable damage, so you will reap bad rewards of years of gimbal use later in life.

Hey guys,

Our unit arrived in NYC. Any further information about how to put it together, what the different pieces are called, etc. like a simple "starting guide" would be great. There is a letter in the package from Pierre containing some "main things you need to know" and has some good tips! But there's just no label for what the things are/what he's referring to, a starter guide for how it should be operated, etc.

Given that these are hot off the assembly line, I certainly don't expect a full manual yet, just need some starter documentation / video / something. I know a tips & tricks email newsletter is coming soon, but any initial advice Carey or others who have it already could provide would be very much appreciated!

I'll update here after we've tested with a Ronin + Dragon combo for the weekend!!

Thanks!

Nice
Are you tasting this unit in NYC? If yes, please let me know (I'm at Times Square and available on this weekend)

Fast track

Fast track

Hello Pierre, my partner Peter Planta put the fast track order though and wired the money but we haven't received a confirmation... do you have any info you can give us?

Thanks!!!

Kwan - Yes, we're doing initial tests today in Brooklyn, and trying to hookup a more interesting test shoot tomorrow (either beautiful scenery or, ideally, short doc about a visually interesting character... ideas welcome :)). If you'd like to see the unit and play around a bit, tomorrow would be the day. Not sure where yet

Mohammed - Yes, I received an automated email with the subject line "EnvoiMoinsCher - Shipping notice" that contained tracking info. It came the day it was shipped, but went to my junk folder.

Question for Pierre / Carey / anyone who's figured this out: in the letter from Pierre, it says "when setting the tension, make absolutely sure the tensioners are screwed to the same length on both sides of each exoarm" Just to be sure, are these the tensioners?

They would be adjusted by using the hex key at the top?

And to be extra-clear, they need to be exactly the same on either side of each individual arm, but the two arms don't have to match *exactly*, right?

@Ivan, PM sent

We are using TNT “heavy duty” special services to get hundredS of exos delivered. But they take a little longer than expected and they scheduled june 10th ETA. Then QC, then shipping to you all. So count on second to third week of june to get the package at your door.

Pierre,

Anyway, can I still put in a fast track order? I've a feature starting June 15th in NYC. I think I was overly optimistic on the delivery date.

Thanks

Exo arrived today

Exo arrived today

I must say that I'm very impressed. Can't explain just how comfortable it is to wear. Very pleased.

Good to hear Lee, was it relatively easy to dial in for your camera package ?

Kinda strange for this thread

Does anyone have any idea, when we are getting our turtle track unit? (lol)

@Carey - can you please take-care this, I need to know delivery date of my unit,
Cheers

Still figuring out a few things like where to mount my V-mount but other than that I have it pretty dialed in. Well worth the wait and lucky to have done so in a group buy. Sorry in the delayed response, I've been busy.
