  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Group Buy: L'Aigle Exoskeleton

Glad to see I'm shown as paid in full. I do have some questions though. I kept missing Pierre at the Abel booth at NAB. Was told at one point that the Exo was down (not functioning??) and taken to manufacturer. I did see it last day at NAB at the Letus booth and tried it on. There was no one to help me get it rigged up right and it kept riding up off of my hips and digging into my stomach. Not comfy and hard to breathe but assume there is a way to adjust better?? Actually hoping there is a way as I am a tall person and thought I had the vest adjusted all the way long.

Also is there any adjustment in the arm tension? I had to force the arms down while carrying a Helix jr. Did not make for shooting smoothly. Also could not turn camera to a 90 degree to my body so shooting with someone walking parallel to me shooting their profile was not going to happen. Also found that the rear "wings" for lack of a better official description, kept hitting each other while trying to move while test shooting.

Anyone have any thoughts?

All that said, is there going to be any official instruction on best way to fit Exo, tips on using and adjusting Exo? Looks like a great product but without any vendor help made it interesting. Thanks

You are absolutly right Andy, I did not receive an update on payment for 2 weeks, that's why you are all pending, even if it has been a while you sent your money.

I asked Pierre an update on deliveries, and payment. I'm he will answer soon. If I were him I would have take a day off today, so probably this evening, or tomorrow morning.

I tried it on very quickly and briefly at NAB. Yes, I think fit will be important. It rode a little low on my hips and I got some wobble when walking. Pierre tweaked it a bit and improvements were easy to come by. I didn't take time to go all the way to a perfect fit but I could tell that a snug fit would yield excellent results. I don't think fit will be either mysterious or complicated; it will just take a little time ad focus when you first get your unit.

Wish I had that minute with Pierre at NAB. Would have answered a lot of questions. Hoping there will be that with Pierre or whoever once I get it to help dial it in.

Hi I am also paid in full I know your awaiting a update from last post hopefully I will be on it, Not received confirmation email from Pierre yet i have emailed him asking for confirmation

Received the all set mail from Pierre around 10pm GMT, so guess he's working through the payments now.

We have made it through that right before or right after nab period now, ready to receive my Le Pierre, anyone gotten a shipping notice yet ?

I had Pierre on the phone a minute ago.

They are working on the hardcases right now. He gave me the references, but... I forgot it, it was IP something (sorry we started to chat and I didn't write it down).
They probably have trouble to get as many cases as we need. Especially in our country (I had to buy 15 peli once, hard to get them all in one delivery, so I understand)

He also have an anouncement coming at the end of the week, about ETA and about something upgraded in the arms design. I can't say more, but it's very good news for those still not convinced.

By the way, how many of you are not yet convinced ? eh eh.

[EDIT: Oh man ! 1000 posts !! ]

Hi there,

It was really nice meeting many of you at NAB. Many friendly and professional people out there in the flesh!

Rather than keeping it for a Mark II, we decided to implement a few more features on Mark I and make it the best new born product possible.
The exoarms will be adjustable in length (two positions, long arm/short arm) and in angle (elbows sticking outwards for comfortable outdoor shooting, or squeezing inwards for “THE DOORWAY ISSUE” – which doesn’t even exist with the pre-production model, but nevermind...)

This should only take 10 more days.

Thanks for the update Pierre. Looking forward to receive a tracking number in nearby future.

Thanks for the update and letting us know. The communication helps.

Thanks for the update, I'm guessing I'll get mine on my birthday May 27th.
