  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Pierre, is it the same problems when using debit cards as with credit cards?

I haven't sent an international wire in ages (I think Ketch Rossi got my last wire for an O'Connor Head). So I go online to Chase to wire my deposit and apparently they no longer do international wires for my type of business account. I have to go there in person to deal with it (meaning upgrade to a 20/mo charge etc.). Apparently I missed the memo. Anyone else have this issue. Real POA. I'll do the account upgrade long enough to get the exoskeleton than I'll be saying good by to Chase.

The other situation is I'm currently on a TV Show and won't be able to get to my branch until Saturday. Please hold my spot. I'll get the deposit in one way or another.

Anyone know of an alternative to Chase's screwed up wire policies with lots of branches in NYC? Sorry for the delay. Was really hoping for credit card.
 
Same here- Chase doesn't allow international wires from my business account. I can do a personal account wire for $40, but that messes with my paperwork for taxes. Really, the credit card issue needs to be sorted, otherwise this feels like amateur hour.

I'm sorry to hear that.
For those who get put off by the Paypal/bank issues, things are extremely simple actually.
Paypal will take the risk of taking your payment, but will keep the money for months and months, while things settle down. We would end up paying good money to produce and ship goods for free and wait for 6 months to get our investments refunded at cost price. Wonderful!... This is asking too much.
With a “real” bank and the way international bank conventions are designed, we take the risk of seeing payments just disappear one after the other in april. Doesn’t work neither.
There is one only option left, which is, we admit, a pain in the... neck. Bank transfers.

But the compensation for the hassle is to get to buy the first product of its kind on earth, at cost price.

If this is not enough a compensation for you, you are perfectly free to wait a little, pay twice the amount, but deal with a local reseller, like you usually do. Which makes perfeclty sense.
And for us it’s easier to ship one container to big resellers – and even get paid for all the work!!

Everyone who is not on the list on post #816 is good. Nothing more to do.
Others are welcome to struggle a little with bank transfers – or just renounce! No hard feelings!

Pierre, you should have received mine also so the tally should be 95, correct?
 
By the way, if you are not on Pierre's final waiting list for the deposit payment and you haven't sent the deposit yet, you should be worried. That means you are not on his group buyer list. In my case, I have sent a few PMs to Pierre to fix that and settled the deposit as soon as I got his wire transfer infomation via email.

No, because I heard of the Paypal issue, and I had some funds in my account to spend (That's why Paypal solution was good for me). And I was waiting the last moment because I had still hope to see more picture of the prototype. At december 31st I was ready to deal with it with bank transfer and no more link on the website.

I'm ready now to make the bank transfer, and I'm in France so it shouldn't take long.

I'm not seeing an email yet with the information I need to place the deposit. (I'm #95 in Group 1).

Was in contact with Carey, he verified that I should have been on that final list.
Just making sure I have not fallen into a void.

Pierre - I am not blaming you for the problems. And I appreciate your being up front, prompt and honest about everything. I am, or was, hopeful there would be a solution to this issue but it looks like you have exhausted the possibilities. My deposit is in (one of the lucky early Paypal ones that wasn't refunded) and I will sit tight for now.

Looking forward to pictures of the finished product.
