Group Buy: L'Aigle Exoskeleton

Thanks Darrel!

We are now at 60 confirmed buyers! That's puts us at the next tier of the discount, which is pretty significant.

We are now at 2135 € per unit.

Now let's get to the final tier!

A side note about Group Buys:

Group Buys are not just about about being the first group to get our hands on that cool new product. They're not really even about getting the most outrageous/unrealistic discount possible on the product. And they certainly aren't about providing funds for R & D for that product (at least, they are not suppose to be).

What group buys are about is allowing hundreds of professionals the opportunity to collaborate directly with the manufacturer of the product, which almost always results in a much better product than we would have gotten had we just bought the product upon its release.

The L'Aigle Exoskeleton you see in the video on page one was planned to be sold for around 2000 €.

If the group buy were to end today, we would be getting it for 2135 € .

That's around 2000 €

Only now, thanks to this Group Buy, and all of the great Reduser feedback, we will be getting a much better product than if we just waited for its release.

This, to me, is the true purpose of the group buy: to get the absolute best possible product for the absolute best possible price. In that way, this Group Buy is proving to be very successful.

I like Pierre a lot. He reminds me of myself. He is very driven to be the best, and to create the best possible products. And he will not rest until his customers are 100% satisfied. That's the kind of company I'm proud to align myself with.

It's important to have the engineering genius to create amazing products, but without great customer service, you don't have a business. You have a cool product that everyone is afraid to buy. Pierre has a business. He's been in business for 11 years. He's proven that he knows how to keep a business afloat. He has the drive. He has the capital. He cares for his customers. He knows that without us, he has nothing. And he appreciates each and every one of us.

Regarding your statement "f the group buy were to end today, we would be getting it for 2135 € ." is this really accurate? They way this group buy is being offered it is allowing everyone the opportunity to back out at at least two levels (before making deposit, after making deposit), so if people drop out, will that not affect the price?

I've been doing Group Buys for a long time here on Reduser. I like to think I know and trust my fellow Redusers enough to be confident that they will not just throw their name's on the list, only to arbitrarily back out at the last minute. The production model will FAR EXCEED everyone's expectations, and the price will be a steal for what they are getting. I don't see anyone backing out for any reason other than unforeseen financial hardship. And I expect that to be very minimal, if at all.

Carey,

there's 2 rats in this race and Im pretty sure that many of us will chose the product that fits our individual preferences best.

I don't like that you try to corner people by expecting them to commit. Unless it truly is the best of the two product soon to be revealed, I'm for one won't promise a purchase at this point in time. Neither of the companies have final product to show and both of them have promised substantial changes to their design. That is why it makes sense in this GB to hold no commitment to its participants.

So no, my financial situation has nothing to do with my final decision. The end product does.

Sorry if it came across like I was trying to "corner people by expecting them to commit."

That's exactly the opposite of what I'm doing here.

I am not cornering anyone to commit. You have the freedom to choose whatever product you desire.

This group buy requires NO commitment whatsoever. We are collecting refundable deposits AFTER you've had the opportunity to see the final product.

You said yourself: "my financial situation has nothing to do with my final decision. The end product does." That's precisely what I just said in my previous post. The product will exceed expectations, and therefore, you will not want to back out of the Group Buy. If you want to back out of this group buy, at any time, you are more than welcome to do so. I am simply doing my best to bring an amazing product into Redusers hands at the best possible price.

I never "corner" anyone into doing anything. If I were cornering you into committing, I would be asking for a Non-refundable deposit. That's "cornering". I'm slightly offended that you would accuse me of that.

Also, how am I "cornering" you if there's a 14 day return policy? Come on.

...Neither of the companies have final product to show and both of them have promised substantial changes to their design....

Yes..don't get it. What is the rush for group buys for products that don't even have a final version.
It is kind of crazy.
It is too soon.

There is no rush. That's the point of this group buy. You won't find any rush here. As said, we're not collecting deposits until the final version is ready. IF THE FINAL VERSION IS NOT READY BY THE END OF THE GB, YOU DON'T PAY A CENT UNTIL IT'S READY.

The list holds your place in line. That's the shipping order. It doesn't get any easier than this.

Sorry, I'm up to my eyeballs in gimbal tests.

You are doing a great job Carey and I didn't mean to offend you.

There was a strong under-tone to your previous comment and I know by fact that others than I reacted on it.

Now that you have stated it loud and clear we can leave it behind us. :)

Cheers

Sorry John, I'm just incredibly stressed between appeasing group buyer's, battling an intense flu and testing two separate gimbals simultaneously, while moving into my new condo and finishing an editing project. I'm near mental breakdown. That's probably the undertone you're detecting :)

So, Carey. The question, an honest one, that never got answered is whether a drop off in commitments will roll back the price.

As I understand it, right now we are just past the 60+ benchmark. I think it is always unrealistic, statistically speaking, to plan for 100% success of anything like this. So, the question remains, if the final numbers were to drop below 60 (or if we get to 105 indications and they drop off to less than 100) would the prices hold or jump back up to the previous level. Personally, I think it is a given that you won't get 100% follow through.

Thanks.
