  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Group Buy: L'Aigle Exoskeleton

Thanks for all the Paid in Full PM guys, keep them coming.
There's a light at the end of the tunnel.

For everyone not reading the board regulary, Pierre already said last week the deliveries are starting after NAB, April 20th.;

That's why there should be a deadline on the 20th, as lots of units will be sent. Probably 93 for us, and 100s around the globe to local dealers. If you don't pay in time, you will be left behind and replaced.
I'm not sure Pierre wants to deal with 30 remaining shipping himself, that's why he is using a carrier to do the work in one time... I don't mean it will ship in one time (I don't know taht though I hope so), but it will be sent to a carrier in one time, who will dispatch the packages. Otherwise, what's the point of manufacturing 200 units a day ?

This is basic time management/price relation. I'm sure he would ship himself at 4000€, but not a 2000€.
And that's why shipping is so cheap. Damn, I paid 370€ to send my RedM during the MX upgrade, and the package was so small compared to an exo in a pelicase.

Guys, you have to pay on time, and that time is now.

and the package was so small compared to an exo in a pelicase.
And yes I'm quoting myself.

Thinking about pelicase. Carey how big is the pelicase ? What model ? Cause the arms are quite long and doesn't fold.

Just got a confirmation by Pierre, that I'm all set - bill's paid completely and will get the Exo right after NAB! Happy day!

Will be paying tomorrow (the client I was waiting for has paid - just need to see the money in the account before I can send it on!).

With reference to the Bank Transfer - what's the best ID/Subject/reference line to use - my Bank has a limit of 18 characters... I seem to remember Pierre saying name... or was it order number?

Lastly, is there another mail (confirmation) that comes when the transfer is complete?

Just want to know the process :)

I'm away on a shoot and won't have anything to show until I get back.

My review of the pre-production model is pointless since there were some improvements since then.

I am still waiting to get my final unit to test.

My pre-production model did not come in a case, it came in a giant box. It will have to be a very big case... Not small enough to fit in airplane carry-on.

I got a fairly quick response from my bank that the transfer went through. I emailed Pierre to let him know it had been sent (just to be safe). It took a few days but he then got back to me with a confirmation and estimate on shipping.

Thanks Terry.

In terms of the Bank Xfer, it's simple and electronic here, I just need to set up a new recipient - then wire the funds. I presume we're sending in Euros, so there'll be a conversion fee from my Bank. Bought quite a few items over the past few years like this and (from my experience) it tends to be 3-5 days for funds to appear... bit of a laugh really, considering it's all electronic (funds leave the account immediately, but then float around in cyberspace until they decide to land in the recipient's account) - guess this is what they call progress!!

Still watching my account waiting for my client's funds to drop (bet they'll arrive at close of business)... there's a 3PM deadline on money transfers anyway via my Bank, so it'll be tomorrow now.

I'll just mail Pierre with the payment reference number when it's gone.

@Andy - good luck. I am sure it will go without a hitch. Not sure about you but I am totally jazzed about getting this thing!

Yeah - pretty excited about it!!

Got my BS4 a little while ago (just starting to play now as I had to get a CGI job out of the door that was pretty life consuming!), so still messing with it - I see an exo as standard kit for gimbal work (especially for old farts like myself!).

OK, thanks Terry for all your work on this GB, you are right, pointless to see your tests at this stage. I guess we will all be doing our own tests soon !

Chéque envoyé.

Bet you cheque beats my Bank Transfer - can't believe that transfers still take 1-3 days (or up to 5 sometimes!)... madness!

Andy - my bank warned me that the wire transfer might take up to 7 days. It actually went through in about 48 hours. Whatever. LOL

They make it up as they go along, I'm sure ;)
