  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Group Buy: L'Aigle Exoskeleton

Austin, the units with a case can ship immediately from the stock. We’re not losing a minute to free some warehouse space. On the other hand, the softcase units need special care and generous bubble film packaging. Your unit ships on monday.

Dude, Where's My Unit? (lol)

Like we are not as important as those... etc etc etc

Austin, trying to light a fire again? It’s like a haystack here during a hot, dry, sunny day. And you’re playing with matches.

My patience for polemics is running out.
Especially under the circumstances of us offering units for advertisement purposes to people who should feel lucky and grateful enough to bother and send us BTS materials afterwards.

If you want your unit to be just tossed in a softbag with no protection and shipped that way, say it and I’ll give instructions.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Keep working hard Pierre. Your efforts are appreciated by many (usually the quiet ones and some loud ones too...ha, ha). This is the finish-line of one stage and BTS footage and satisfaction is coming. Don't worry. Your hard work will be soon seen and praised. You're doing fine!

Pierre - The unit I got was a prototype that I spent a full week testing. I promised everyone here I would write a final review on the final unit. You promised me I would get my unit first. I still have been unable to test a final unit and release a review, as promised. This is why I'm complaining. I can't write a review based on the prototype and I don't have the completed version so I can't do anything. Please ship my unit and I will send you back the prototype.

Thank you!

Please do not assume I am your enemy. I have been your ally this entire time, since naturally I was grateful for the very existence of your product.

Forgive me for voicing my frustrations.

I know it might not help anyone feel any better about the situation, but for eyes looking on in this thread from the outside, I've had my emails answered in an incredibly timely fashion. I feel your frustrations but to me the reasons for the frustrations are a little more excusable when I think about the money saved to be on the ground floor at such a ridiculous price. Anyways, I just wanted to say thanks again to everyone involved for facilitating this group buy. Everyone's hard work didnt go unnoticed. Pierre, Carey and Berenger, thank you all for the hard work. It really is greatly appreciated. You guys rock!

it's a win-win in the end if we honor our part of the contract. For those who can not afford the hard case, a plywood road-case may do the trick .... and you get a soft bag for when the lightness is crucial.
Thank you all for this great deal ( Carey and Bérenger, thank you ) ; Pierre, thank you for this great product and your dedication to improve it.

I would like to say "thank you" to Pierre and his team for the amazing gear. I know some of our group buyers were a pain in the neck. But for the rest of us, "thank you from the bottom of our hearts".

Sent my wire out my wire for a hardcase today. Counting the days my arms no longer tremble from a three minute take. If you haven't done it, I totally recommend going hardcase. Just too much riding on damage in transit. Just the other day, a badly rigged ratchet strap slipped on a tie down in our truck and a stand cart fell on a hardcase. No damage. Imagine if it were a soft case. Shit happens. At least you Exo now would be able to pack into a smaller case (or a trash bag). LOL.

Thank you for updating me on the shipping schedule Pierre, it is very, very much appreciated.

Pierre, When do I get a chance to say something like this (lol)

I have a 4 day shoot with the Exo this week. I mounted a V-mount adaptor on the lower back of the harness and have everything ready to go. I'll post pics a some clips this week.

Kwan, I guess by the end of the week you can go out on Times Square with your exo and catch more eyes than a costumed Batman or Spiderman there...

LOL, nice

Hm. The list of 18-months groupbuys on reduser should be shortened... :)
Hi Gunleik,

I understand your concerns - especially in view of at least one other RU group buy ;-) - and I know you're partially kidding, but to be fair, this GB is still shy of 8 months. In that time the exo has gone through a total redesign and is now far superior to what we all signed up for. As an engineering type myself, I am amazed at how quickly this was done. By the time the 8 months are up in a week or two, this GB should be all but complete. I know there has been some "noise" by a few, shall we say, "overly enthusiastic" folks, but I for one couldn't be happier about the results. If only all GBs could end so well.

Cheers - Mike.

I agree. I am both a professional engineer and a professional purchasing agent and have even been employed by a French language based company in those roles, so I am aware of the cultural differences with US companies.

To take this product from concept to delivery in such a short time would not be an enjoyable ride for the people involved, and definitely is not something that should happen under the watching impatient eyes of customers.

It might be an interesting study of the buyers to look at the ages and backgrounds of the impatient customers! Which could/would explain some of the comments to this buy.

Sharing our set-up.....
I ended up using an IDX camera plate and added a 6' D-Tap extension that runs into a Quad D-Tap adaptor that is mounted on the handle of the Ronin. This allows me to power just about any accessory that I own on the rig and actually keeps it pretty simple. It also allows me to break away from the Ronin with one D-Tap plug and the Epic is powered from a D-tap to 90 degree lemo for power. It all works like a dream. I have the camera, SmallHD DP7 Highbright monitor, Paralinx Tomahawk, and Cinegear Wireless FF motor all onboard. We'll take some pics this week.
