  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

sorry guys am new here and don't even know how to start a new post.
i have just purchased a red-rocket card installed it and all is working, however the performance is still the same
as with my original nvidia card. it seems to struggle to play my r3d clips.
am i missing something or do i need to change some settings somewhere?
Please help

Hi Joe, you should post your help request in another thread. This thread is about a Kessler group buy. I am going to suggest you start in this section. It is post production hardware. Is your card a Red Rocket X or the original Red Rocket? Which footage? e.g. If it is the orignal Red rocket, it will not be as fast as modern GPUs and is limited to older footage. If is is a Red Rocket X, then it may be a little faster than a high end GPU or multiple GPUs, but not for long. Take a look in the Post Production Hardware section. In the upper left you should see a new thread button. You may not be able to start a new thread until you have a minimum number of posts, so for now, find a Red Rocket thread in there and post for help. I don't own a Red Rocket, so I can't help you, sorry. Here is at least a RRX related thread to start with.
 
Just look on the Kessler site. Add it to a cart and go to check out. And then figure in the import duty too. Still works out a hell of a lot cheaper to bring it to the UK than to buy it here. If the dollar could a touch more in the next 24hrs that would be great for me too :)

What's the score with the ordering process. I'm trying to get it all done before my girlfriend comes home and start to wonder why we are eating gruel ;)
 
Hi Chris, i just saw the german reseller of Kessler is cheeper than the gb + Shipping. Now you have 34 People for the GP so i Hope it s ok if i am out... sorry gb + Shipping + taxes are over 200 Euro more than the german reseller marcotec. Thank you and sorry. Marinus
 
If anyone is curious about flying with this kit as well (which I think some were), I tested it today and you can fit everything in the base kit in the Pelican Air 1615 and it comes to about 47.5 lbs. ^_^

It's not super sexy because you have to detach the wheels and put them on top of the plate on the bottom layer and then the ends on the top layer but it does work and will keep everything safe.

And I will also mention that the exact total measurements of the case are 62" which is the max for a lot of airlines... it's kind of perfect.

Not yet...I've seen it though and it's amazing.
