  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

GROUP BUY - DJI Ronin R2

Couple questions...

Does anyone know what the run time is if I am powering a Epic-W and a DJI focus?

I have the Cinemills square and spindles for my original Ronin. Is the DJI cage/square the same diameter? Will my spindles work with it?

You'll get around 2-2.5 hours with 2 batteries.

In terms of the cage, they have increased the height of the cage to accommodate larger/taller cameras, so it's not the exact same diameter/height. Also, the R2 extends out as well to fit longer cameras, so you shouldn't need any extensions.

Regarding the spindles, I believe the R1 was 25mm diameter, and the R2 has a 30mm diameter, so you'd need to buy new spindles, or Pedro also sells a conversion kit found here: https://cinemilled.com/product/ready-rig-gs-spindle-mount-tube-clamp-conversion/ for $99

does it work with an easyrig and puppeteer?

If so +1 + 2 Batteries

Chris,

Will the units ship immediately after payment? Or will we need to wait until the payment cutoff ends for the shipment? I'd love to have my unit the week of OCT 9 if possible.

Yes, as soon as you pay, it ships shortly thereafter since we get the priority allocations. I'm sure DJI can't guarantee you'd receive it by the 9th, but if you get the payment in the first day, I would think it would be close.

It works with the easy rig, just don't know about the puppeteer. It shouldn't be an issue, but I don't have one to confirm.
