  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

GROUP BUY - Digital Sputnik DS1

@ kaspar Kallas

Well now im gonna have to find out how to find the money to get that DS3

We were told that the first 5 units were shipped and the next batch are waiting on the Pelican cases

I have. They are shipping them. I'm pretty sure they just got swamped with ordered and are getting them out as quickly as possible. It's only been a week or so since they started accepting payments so I'm sure they'll ship more.

Didn't know where to post this so please move or delete if I am incorrect.

Was recently apart of a group buy for the digital sputniks. just got an email from kaur@digitalsputnik.com stating "Kaur ****** has invited you to view the following document" then it gives me the option to click an "open in docs" button. when clicking on it, the screen shown in the photo popped up asking for my permission to grant it access for google docs to use my gmail account. now, notice the email address of the creator of "google docs" this doesnt seem to be official and seems to me that kaur has had his email compromised. If you get one of these emails, I suggest not opening it until we can get some clarification.

noticed photo is not legible on here.

says the creator of google docs that is asking for permission to have control of my google account is "eugene.pupov@gmail.com"

when opening a google doc, I've never remembered having to grant google doc permission to have control of my account, and I really don't think the creator of google docs would have this email. Kaur, if you're here please chime in on the legitimacy of this email.

If you havent seen it, check out my other post

For those who have opened anything like this you can go to your google settings page and delete authorization for apps etc... I suggest you do that right now!

https://myaccount.google.com/security?pli=1#connectedapps

the link above will take you to a page where you can delete 3rd party access to your account
be sure that you havent given any access to your email. not sure if the link above works for non google accounts or not though.

Is it possible to still get in on this deal?

Any updates? Last email update I got from Kaur was 4/24

Yeah man, they're gonna be well worth the wait though. Gonna be making money with these for a loooooooooooooooooong time.

I would definitely be interested in a GB for the voyagers as I plan to purchase both the small and larger version.

SAM WINDELL - Where in Canada are you shooting?

We may be getting a couple demo models here in TORONTO that you could use for your shoot.

FWIW i got my two DS1s last week. I know they're ploughing their was through all the orders, so the silence just means they're busy.

Not had that much time to play as i'm totally overrun right now, but they are awesome lights and the softblade accessory is a really neat idea. Think they ought to do a larger version was well...

cheers

Great to hear. I got to mess around with the lights and the softblade at the NAB meet up and it really confirmed the purchase for me. Really excited to take delivery of these.
