  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

GROUP BUY - Digital Sputnik DS1

Wow! been drooling over these the past couple weeks. amazed to see a group buy on them pop up here today. how long until we can get in on the group buy? Been thinking about ordering 1 or 2 anyway, was just waiting on the funds. now with the 25% off on the horizon... I'd be pissed if I missed out on at least getting one of these

Question, where would be be buying this from? Is this is special package as this is not their standard DS1 kit right?
 
Well that is an interesting find....
To answer the only unaswered questions I found, the DS1 ships in cardboard box with a foam cut-out that will fit exactly the following case:

AB is a possibility but not a standard option. You have to check with our US office for pricing.

Tempting, been thinking about this. There is the hive C100 to consider as well, but the design of the DS1 is so much nicer.

I'm interested in the soft blade and finding out when the cut off date is.

But i understand from other posts that the DS1 is really a soft light. Because of the form factor i had it more like a Nila, with different spreads.
So i presume it's not possible to focus the light into something harder? The list mentions 34/76 degree diffusion, so a 34 degree beam is possible, or does it not work like that?

Hello

The DS1 Produces a hard 20 degree light without diffusion which has very good throw. Diffusion can soften the light to 34 or 76 degrees.
