  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

GROUP BUY 2019 – OSEE LCM 215-HDR 1000nits 21.5" Monitor Kit

Sounds like I have to send it in...no idea how that will work with the current situation, I'll let you know how much this will cost.

Wasn't even used a whole lot. Really disappointed right now.
 
Still dealing with repair. My fault for taking my time with it, but shipping to China is a complete nightmare. They offered $300 to ship and I wanted to try FedEx myself. They quoted me $750 one way. So now I went back to OSEE for theirs and it’s up to $370 now.

So I’m going to be paying $750ish for a repair on this thing.

They need to get someone in the USA to handle repairs. I’m just in a bad situation where there’s no alternative without spending $2000+.

EDIT:

UPDATE: I've received quick responses thus far. It's currently in customs in Beijing, hoping it clears soon. I just need it back in mid-August, so not too worried yet.

UPDATE 2: After being stuck in customs since the 29th, I wrote them. They said they do not expect to get the item and that they will instead sell me a B-Stock item at 50% off ($750 total). Including the $370 I already spent - it would be close to the cost of a new one. This continues to get worse. We'll see what happens next. I'm certainly not doing that.

Since I sent the monitor with the V-mount - I also have to pay for a V-mount for the monitor. So it looks like my total out of pocket for a simple repair on a monitor that cost me $1200 is $844 USD.

So I guess...hope your shit doesn't break.
 
Got the B-Stock back.

Let's hope that this one lasts longer.

But on a RedUser group buy, I'm not in on this thing for over $2000. Could have just gone for a B&H deal on a SmallHD.
 
Aside from the return hell such as Brandon had,
how has this monitor been treating everyone with regards to the monitoring performance?

Good cheap alternative to a 1703 or similar?

Anyone run a calibration and got good results?
 
I have the 15.6" and the 21" from the Group Buy and neither have had any issues, and most of the time outdoors in the Florida humidity and sun.
Never ran a calibration though or firmware update... so far so good
 
Anyone got dimensions to this monitor? I'm trying to figure out if ii can fit 2 on my cart.
