I have had my Epic Dragon for approximately 4 weeks and today while shooting I noticed a grayish vertical line on my footage once I got it back to the computer. Its a very subtle line...but you can definitely tell when you look at the R3D files on the computer. Has anyone else experience this before. I have never seen this with any of my RED cameras before.

If its on all your footage... best to reach out to support.

@ Daniel thx for the information !!! This happened at one of the worst times.........Im in the middle of a shoot. With a major deadline.

If it's crucial to get it to work then just do a "wire-removal" on all the shots with a grey line. It might take some rendering, but a very thin line on 6K material is never going to be a problem to get rid off in post. After your deadline, you might need to send in your camera.

Post a frame.

Do a restore and reinstall FW and do a Blackshading calibration.
File a support ticket.

THX guys...Camera has been shipped back to RED as of last week and I am waiting to get it back as we speak. I was told that IT COULD TAKE 3-5 DAYS.

If you're in Chicago, at least you can rent another camera while it's in the shop. Much harder to do in (say) the jungles of West Africa or a village in the middle of India.

@ Marc...this is true. I talked to RED yesterday and the work will be completed in a day or so. I should be up and running by the end of the week.
