Congrats... happy to see more and more people getting there cameras... now all we need is an EPIC only footage thread

She arrived right in the middle of Mardi Gras, and she is beatiful.
Photos of Epic just don't do it justice, holding one in your hand is a very different experience. It really feels great, it's dense and solid...heavier than it looks. How they fit everything in such a small package is amazing.

I am very appreciative to be part of the M family and can't wait to put her thru her paces..Thank you Jim, Jarred, Brent and the rest of the Red team for your dedication to
excellence. In my nearly 30 years in this business I have never experienced this level of support from a camera manufacture. Brent has gone above and beyond on many many occasions to support our cameras.

Thanks!
I'll report my experiences soon, right now it's back to the party.

When I saw Greg TWEET:

At dest sort facility.....REFRESH.....At dest sort facility......REFRESH......At dest sort facility

I knew there could only be one thing that could distract him from Mardi Gras!

Greg and his company are first class all the way - now there are EPICs rolling in Los Angeles, NYC and Louisiana - three three biggest production markets in the US.

Looking forward to seeing all the great work Greg will do with this camera!

Congrats Greg! Are you going to capture some tornadoes tomorrow in 5K?

Congrats, Greg! That case looks fantastic, I hope it's standard

Probably not ... Epic-M is a very special thing and a much higher price with more room for extra touches like that. I'm sure Jim and the gang will make it affordable for us regular guys to have the case included, though :)

Btw, congrats Greg -- love your posts ....

Contests, Greg. Is that a 10mm Zeiss? Does it cover 5k?

Oops just looked at the other pic - looks like a 12mm UP. Does it cover 5k?

The 8R does. Isn't that an 8? Or is it a 10? Heck, I am all about it either way.

Robertoo, 8r is quite a bit smaller than the 10 and 12 - but t2.8 rather than 2.1 on the 10and12.

I think 8r may also be a more modern design.

Yes, it looks like a 12, at least on the second photo. But I am still head over heels about it.

I am dying to see all of them up to 16mm on the slightly larger sensor. Every lens really. I would love to see a comparison with the same set on M-X and Epic.

But I would be shooting everything but tests if I were Greg. Bet he is having a metric ton of fun a minute right about now. :D

OMG THERE'S AN EPIC IN LOUISIANA I JUST DIED WHEN CAN I COME SEE IT

*ahem*

What I meant to say is...congrats

I knew there could only be one thing that could distract him from Mardi Gras!

Tragically Mardi Gras was pretty much cancelled for the day today 'cause of thunderstorms. On the other hand there has been almost (ALMOST) no screaming insanity up and down my quiet, nowhere near a parade route street. Something that is seldom true the two weeks before Fat Tuesday.
