Greenish tint when using the Standard OLPF or IPP2

Not sure if this has been asked and answered already. But is it just me does either IPP2 or Standard OLPF have a greenish tint to it more than the others. I feel like when I use the Standard OLPF my footage seems a little greener.

Seems like a white balance (and/or tint adjustment) issue. Can you post a couple of .R3D frames please?

Do you have that issue with daylight on location or by using any specific light.
I noticed that a lot LED lights, special cheeper brands have the tendency to go more green.

My Epic-W is definitely leaning towards green in the blacks. Especially noticable starting at 800iso and above.

Also noticed a funny thing happen the other day. I have my blackshade calibrations set to auto. During one of the automatic calibration switches, the tint shifted slightly. Not the actually tint values, just what I see with my eyes. Weird.

Yeah, I have to run minimum -6 tint on everything I shoot, so that's where it starts while I'm shooting. Even that's not enough sometimes though.

Strangely enough, the skintone OLPF has more of a green tint on skin than the “standard”.

I'v always felt that my Helium/standard OLPF had more green than normal. I used to just put my tint to around -6. But for a while I've been using the Omeneo Primers/LUTS and they correct quite a bit of my Helium footage.

Compared to what ? Another camera, you monitor, colour corrected image of any kind.
For myself I found that Ipp2 helium shot side by side with alexa mini is neutral, while Alexa seems to be wormer and greener (colour corrected with only one same lut). So maybe its only a perception thing.

I agree that Helium can definitely go a bit green.

I rock -18 tint on my Epic-W a LOT to get the green out of the black's (even with Standard OLPF) and I always shoot it at 800-1280-1600 ISO as I feel it holds highlight retention better.

No biggie really, as tint easily drops down from the kelvin menu (as long as you have the wisdom to know about it ; )). And, IMHO, there's something really lovely about the highlight OLPF at 800ISO too on Helium (skin is so nice, especially on S4i's open @ T2 and IPP2), though it also was very nice too on Epic Dragon (which I rated at 400 ISO a LOT).

I minus tint on Alexa Mini a lot too, though it definitely doesn't need as much when in side by side comparison or shooting alongside the Epic-W, often around -4.

Horses for courses but I know what I like and I don't really care what it takes to get there & I feel getting nice images out of the bat is always a good thing.
