  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Green Or Blue Screen

Good luck ;-)

Keying raining water from greenscreen is, eh, challenging to say the least. Black BG and backlight sound like a more viable option to me, regardless of shooting medium.

Anyway, if i were you, i'd be prepared to do 3D rain in closeups too.

I just had a shoot which required shooting a weak blue (alcohol flame) against a black background.
The need to roll off the blacks can be an issue, but with some careful curve massaging in post you can get good results. Rain should be equally do-able, but I agree with Halsu 3D drops could be the way to go for closeups.

Thought I would chip in as I used to do a lot of chroma key with musicians, (albeit interviews and a 'live' song for b footage), anyway I would go green any day.

Blue eyes, etc. may look funky when they go missing :)

Peace
