so, today we were shooting small model of landscape, with little model cars. Because it was a model of a valley with hills, it was covered with green material. We were using 3200k lights, and with the HDSDI output and on the RED LCD, I was viewing the nice image, where green was green. When we opened R3d files in redcine, green become yellow, and I tried different colorspaces but nothing. so can anyone suggest what could be the reason? oh, and then from the camera, I put on output RAW instead of REDSPACE and then HDSDI preview became yellow as well. but in redcine redspace was still yellow.

one more question, in redcine in project settings there are 2 gammas we can choose. the left one has camera RGB, RGB, and other options. so what should I have it set on? I understand the options on the right, with rec709, redlog and etc, but what is the left one?

thanks

The 3200k lights have alot of red and very little blue. This can push greens to yellow because you're lighting with very warm lights.

Tungsten should NOT be aproblem, many green screen have been lit this way.
Now your color balance (white balance etc, colro temp in camera etc) may be off toward a more daylight spectrumm 5000k or so. If this is the case it shouldnt be an issue just balance the image back.
Does the whole image overall look yellow? look for whites or grays that may show that.

Agreed. I forgot to mention about white balance.
Same for green screens where the white balance setting can have a big impact on how the keys are pulled.

no, it is not white balance, and white balance is ok, rest of the colors and whites are preserved. only green appears yellow. also strange thing is the fact that camera LCD and HD monitor (from HDSDI) are correct colors. you know what I will post r3d files, but unfortunatelly, I do not know how I can show you what it really looked like on LCD monitor, but you can imagine it was greeen.

I will upload files and put the link.
