I am processing footage with Clipfinder that was shot on RED with the Mysterium chip.
My dailies look fine in the clipfinder viewer but turn out REALLY green/ yellow when processed.
I updated to REDCODE QuickTime codec, v4.1 and still have this problem.

Anybody else having this issue? Any solutions?

Yes...there's now REDCODE 4.2.....you have FCP suite 3 ?
If so....there's an install and you need to do some manual installation as well. I can tell you where to look, but first if you have FCP3?

Also, not sure if you can see footage properly MX that is in clipfinder---since i don't use. Is it all ok in RCX build 262?

I am running FCP v 7.0.2. Thanks for the response..
What next?

So yes to FCP suite 3.
And yes the clip looks fine in RCX build 262.

thanks again.

So begin with this thread:
http://reduser.net/forum/showthread.php?t=48297&highlight=log+transfer+problems

Basically you'll see that you have to manually DELETE files and then reinstall FCP 3 installer from red support page. I had installed FCP3 installer from RED when it came out, but after checking only last week, i noticed that NONE of the actual files got updated from FCP2 installer. So follow Gavin's instructions to verify your new install. Basically this:

Manually DELETE the following files or folders:
INSTALLED ITEMS
(delete these items below manually in finder)
(then re-run FCP3 installer --download from Red Support---once done, go to verify the files below---you will see they have been updated.

Color support:

/Library/Frameworks/REDCODE.Color.framework

FCP Log & Transfer support:

/Library/Application Support/ProApps/MIO/RAD/PlugIns/RED.RADPlug

REDCODE QuickTime codec and preference pane:

/Library/QuickTime/REDCODE.QT.component
/Library/PreferencePanes/REDcode.prefPane

**Of course this is at your own risk yes?** i did this and finally got everything updated and worked fine.

Keep in mind, this may have NOTHING to do though with your footage in Clipfinder----i don't know since i was merely trying to update to Red's QT component 4.2 and this is where to do it. AND uploads all COLOR info as well to that program. But at least you'll have latest updates.

Thanks for the info.
I'll give it a go and report back.

I've heard both yellow and green. BUT, i don't work with clipfinder so can't say if it will fix it. BUT, by doing what i listed previously....you'll be up to date with latest version of REDCODE and COLOR & FCP items. So then you can take that out of the equation for future.

I followed the instructions and used L&T in Final Cut and the clip was processed perfectly!

big thanks to Johnny and Gavin!
