I got a 3m x 6m (10ft x 20ft) green screen that I inted for outdoor use. Now I need a frame to mount it on (grommets on all for sides). First I thought I just build one of metall pipes and four corners that can be detached for transportation. I done it for for butterfly frames before that hang from the roof. But I think going from hanging to standing up, the frame need to be stronger. Perhaps buying a aluminium truss frame is the best solution.

How does your green/Blue screen frame look like and what size is it? I choosed 3m x 6m (10ft x 20ft) because I like to have it as practical (light enaugh to move around and not picking up to much wind) as possible yet big enaugh to be useful for more than medium shots.

If you use a detachable screen please post picture of the peaces.

10' x 20' is not going to be big enough outside because it's got to be a reasonable distance away from the actors, at least 15' or so, to avoid any green spill. I have worked in situations where we had an outdoor green screen, and they had a big mofo Airwall unit from Paskal like this:

It's just a rental, so the cost is not as expensive as you might think.
