Hello,

This problem is happening more and more often now.
At about 3 of 4 camera boots the image in the EVF gets a lot green and red noise. It goes away if I unplug and re-plug the EVF or reboot the camera. No problem with LCD or any other screens.

Firmware 16 and a very new cam and EVF.

Here are some pics i just took with my mobile straight in to the EVF.

Cheers!

Mine has done it a couple times as well. Still trying to see what triggers it.

I had a similar effect with mine, not in the whole picture, but some parts of it (Like solarizing effect). Same solution: rebooting or unplug and re-plug, and it was gone.

Thank you Ken!
I will update to build 18 and see if it´s gone (I would mention not, because build 18 adds only Ana´s, but who know´s?)

Based on my own experiences with HDMI and DVI connections on large screen displays, this kind of noise is produced by bad cable connections. If it is corrected by unplugging and reconnecting the display there is a better than 90% chance that this is the case. I have had this happen even with brand new cables and displays. Check the connectors closely for bent pins, make sure you plug the cable straight onto the chassis connectors and that it is fully seated. I always carry a can of CAIG Pro Gold contact cleaner in my kit (from Radio Shack), as it doesn't take but a tiny amount of moisture or contamination to cause this kind of problem.

We have been having a lot of problems with the view finders. We have also been getting a strange solarize grainy effect mostly noticeable around the mid tones of the image. Same solution to what has been suggested here problem is that the the DP is getting frustrated with the camera because of it and other problems. Would like to her from Red about a better way to solve the problem and permanently at that.
