Seen this last week, however... not enough/solid info to move on... (will wait)

I love all of the i/o options on the top plate and rear i/o module. I've been using Tilta rigging for the last few years on every shoot and love the build quality. My only beef is over the weight.

There seem to be many opportunities for cabon fiber solutions where aluminum is used, making the rigs feel needlessly heavy. Then again, when I'm extending my jib towards its limits, I'm looking for as much weight as I can get up front for stability. But most of the time I feel like it's just too heavy.

Tilta has been developing many very intriguing electronic devices lately, beyond their bread and butter rigs -- The Gravity Gimbal, their 3 channel wireless follow focus system, wireless video downlink / transmitter, and now these nice pieces for DSMC2. It all looks fantastic, but I feel like Kwan is right to wait for more info. I have been looking seriously into the "TiltaMAX" devices since they were announced at IBC last year, however holding off until more proof in the wild is available.

Their wireless follow focus has been two months away for three years

I have been happy with flying the weapon on their Gravity 3 gimbal. Looking into these cages as well.

Kenny, how long have you had the Gravity? I nearly bought one a few months ago but opted instead for the Gremsy H16, which has been performing like a champ both handheld and also flying on our Aceore Neo UAV. I still may get a Gravity for the longer and heavier setups, but I feel like it's relatively unproven so far. That said, I'd love to get your review of the Gravity. I started a thread about it as well:

yeah I am a Wooden Camera guy for life Ryan and his team are amazing and he always answers his cell when I call him!!! Sorry sticking with WC

Their Alexa Mini cage is pretty sweet. I would give this a look when it's in wide production.

These look way over-engineered for my needs at least.

Like, why have the display pogo pass through on the top plate but then put the handle over that so you can't use the pogo passthrough to mount your monitor?

And why these specific bundles? The option to buy the individual pieces a la carte makes much more sense to me.

It makes more sense to order a la carte for me too. You should be able to do that after the shipping starts, as i understand.

I wonder if that is what the "Switchable DSMC2 LCD Bracket" addresses? It looks like it has the pogo pins built in, so I wonder if it feeds through the pogo blocked by the handle and shifts it over?

Another thing I wonder about is where the 16-pin LEMO on the top plate is getting the signal from. It doesn't look like it's using the side pogo, so I assume it's using the top one. But then they still have the pogo pins passing through to the top of the plate. Does this mean I can use the feed out of the top pogo simultaneously with the 16-pin lemo (such as a RED touch and a cabled EVF at the same time?

I'm not sure if the Tilta store in Burbank is open yet, but perhaps I'll swing by Monday to see if they can explain this to me. I have a ton of other questions as well.

I believe that the Burbank store is still remodeling. And I think that TILTA is still waiting for approval from RED for all their electric pass through stuff. If anyone has more info about shipping dates that would be great

I agree with Peter.
We haven't seen much solid intel other than 3d renders. They're pretty, don't get me wrong. But to project through the next quarter we need solid info Tilta. ;)

You are correct. I had visited TILTA's Facebook page and they had their address for the showroom listed so I thought perhaps it had opened, but I stopped by and it isn't open. All the windows are covered and all the old signage from the previous tenant is still up on the outside. Looks like it'll be a while yet before they open the showroom.

Tilta is great . . . I have been using some of their equipment since 2012 BUT ! _____ They were terribly late with this supports so, back to the milling machine and lathe and in no time I made my own.

In fact I also had to modify the RED Tactical top plate as it was defective (but that is another story I shall reveal with documentation at later date).

However, as I said, Tilta makes excellent accessories and I have been in touch with the company for a long time now . . . . glad to see this now, thanks for sharing.
