I am a long-time fan of no and nearly-no dialogue films - when done right, of course. In my humble opinion, this
one really nails it! This is by Finnish filmmaker Finn Onni Lychoberg, titled 'An Important meeting'. I couldn't tell
you what this was shot with. Doesn't really matter.

Enjoy.

*Spoiler*

The lead is Swedish actress Dagny Carlsson, also known as the world's oldest blogger at 105 years old!! Her one line is 'I think I saw the Queen'.

Thanks to a producer friend in France/Austria I have now discovered Medium.com. Very cool little corner for writers of everything from everywhere.

I am posting up my Screenwriting book, HOW TO SPEAK SCRIPT, that is really written for both screenwriters, and filmmakers that either want to write their own material, or better understand how to read and select scripts for production.

I will be adding chapters and relevant material over the course of months, or maybe even years! It's a 10+ year pet project I'm putting out there as 'For educational purposes only'.

Read and share.

I was bumping around the internet looking for information on the future of cinema, and came across this class listing offered at the University of Southern California. I mean, just read some of those course descriptions !!

....entertainment, art and activism .... Activism? Seriously? Sounds more like a new genre of indoctrimentary.

Wait, didn't we already run this gamut? Oh, yeah. 'Reefer Madness' and the slew of propaganda films.

And of course, the attack of the bull dykes ...

I suppose exploitation films will also be making a comeback. Digital-aged of course.

I also came across this, the world's first feature film co-written with AI, Titled 'Impossible Things'. The video is interesting in that it shows the digital environment these 'kids' are working in. They / this is the now and future of film and entertainment.

And lest we forget Augmented Reality, which somehow Google and Alibaba are putting some serious bucks into further development ...

Out of curiosity, I looked up the writing credits for the world's first AI film, Sunspring, 2016. Here are the official screenwriter's credit ...

Written by: Benjamin (as Benjamin, a system-on-chip [SOC] computer with graphics processing unit [GPU], running a ‘long short term memory’ [LSTM] recurrent neural network [RNN])

I'll stick with my old LC Smith Corona Super Speed, and just let the world hurl on past me.

My Book ...
