Tried using BOMB EVF for the first time on my EPIC-M. However, it seems the initial chip chart is viewed, but then a gray screen appears. I tried using my LCD, video feed was spot on. I even used the cable that came with the LCD, but with no avail. I changed the Monitoring settings of LCD/EVF to preview only, still the same issue. Am I missing something, that I need to set before using the BOMB EVF.Asif Limbada

Should be plug and play.. (was for me)

If you can, do a firmware re install to cancel that out..

Just remember you need to power the camera down before going form the LCD to EVF.

Justin,

Thanks, I did the firmware again. Still the same issue.

Any one from RED, can please advice. Thanks.

Another EPIC/SCARLET in UAE or Dubai to text my BOMB EVF

Another EPIC/SCARLET in UAE or Dubai to text my BOMB EVF

Just received an email from RED Support, need to remove the SSD Module and reattach it and/or try connecting to another EPIC/Scarlet.

As of now only have my EPIC with me, SCARLET on the way don't know when exactly will it touch base.

A shout out to any EPIC or SCARLET owners in United Arab Emirates, who is willing to let me test the BMOB EVF on their EPIC/SCARLET. Please help!

Asif - let me understand... RED said the BOMB problem is related to the _SSD_ Module? Did they say WHY/HOW this relates to the BOMB?
curious!

Yeah Stu, its exactly what Hudson said.

Mark, eventually I will be doing that :-(

The reason I don't want it to go , is because it just was on backorder for so long. And now this. I hope they send it back (replacement hopefully!!) ASAP.

Because the cabling for the EVF/LCD runs via the SSD module into the brain.

ah. well, of course....
dumb Q. Maybe if I had a camera to mount my BOMB to I would have noticed!
Godspeed on the repair Asif-
