I was checking out IBC videos and saw that another camera company will be charging 1350 euros for a "license" to shoot 120fps.
All of these years, firmware updates from RED have been coming fast, furious and free...
I just want to let Jim, Jarred, Ted, Deanan and the rest of the Red team to know that I am grateful.

Isn't it crazy?? But when you look at it RED is actually the crazy one...Sony also charged something like $3,000 for a firmware feature upgrade to the F3. Like it was said, so easy to take it for granted.

We also get Redcine-X for free...most other camera companies don't even attempt a program like that!

And the new RCX Pro on a Macbook Pro with thunderbolt second screen is quiet incredible : full screen at 1/4 !!

Just one of the many reasons why I love RED. Thank you guys, things like this will make every customer a customer for life. But then again, I don't just feel like a customer, RED feels like home...

Absolutely. Its no small part of what sets Red apart from the pack. Thanks again Red!

That's $11.25 per frame per slo mo license. At 300 fps Jim could be charging $3,375 for the license.

And then you tell me there is a "de-squeeze license"! Sounds like some kinda protection racket: "letta me explain ta you - you pay or you no get de-squeezed, you stay squeezed. Capiche?". What next?
