Whilst working in Premier Pro cs6 I sometimes get a warning that the Nvidia graphics card has had a kernel error, shutdown and successfully restarted. However the playback monitor and external monitor are blank and do not update. I need to shutdown PPro and start again.

Im on win8 using two Nvidia GT640's and 16gb ram. Is the PC running out of ram or have I got an error somewhere..? The first gt640 came installed and I put the second one in myself. I hoped 4gb of VRAM would be ok...

any thoughts?

That is a driver crash... Try un-installing you nvidia drivers and when you re-install the latest drivers at that point also click on Clean Install during the installation process.
That should sort you out :)
If not then we might have to look elsewhere.. What is your computer config ?
Hope the driver re-installation sorts out your trouble :)
Also just food for thought.. Adobe at this point cant use multiple gpu's so it might just be better to run 1 gpu at this point if that sorts out your problems. Either ways there should be no issues in running 2 cards either :)
Cheers and kind regards !

Cheers Shatul,
will reload drivers over the weekend. I'm running Lenovo tower i7 3.4 with 16GB ram. They "should" be desktop cards so let's see what happens..

cheers
