  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Grading suggestions?

Just a little fun

Always good a fun one. A simple grade for ya. Prefer desaturated too for a classic look.

Not to me António! :) It's good to see diffrent grades to pick bits and pieces from.

This didn't take much effort to look good. Amazing shot. What did you light it with?

@Brendon Glad, that you like it! Grading in Resolve. Redlog Film. Than ad a 3d Kodak 2383 LUT, balance black and whites, separate the skin tones and added some warmth too it, separated the bg and added some coldness. highlighted the nails and her eyes. all this done with parallel nodes. conclusion with a little contrast curve in a serial node and saturation down a little bit.. greetings, Marinus

A bit more muted than most of my grades - seems to fit the shot better. Slightly elevated blacks tinted red/purple to complement the little bit of green I introduced into the neutrals. Although it might be hard to notice the tint in the blacks if you're in a bright room... The hair is also probably a bit saturated, but its late! I might revisit this grade tomorrow...
