Grade my R3D - Something Different - Automotive

Didn't want to hijack Savva's thread... (so I created this new one)


I would absolutely love (and appreciate) some ideas on grading.

Some of these are frame grabs from a jib mounted in a chase vehicle. There is a lot of movement so there's a bit of motion blur on some of these but the full clips in motion turned out very nice. I think the Lambo is a touch out of focus but by time it's sharpened a tad and delivered online it will be fine.

Hopefully they will be fun to play with!!!!

Very much looking forward to seeing some grades. Pick and choose which you like - I tried to provide some variety. Thank you!

Hi Rami, Thanks for giving it a go. I think I'm looking for something where the color is a bit more balanced. Not sterile, but maybe more whites and truer blues and oranges. I'll have to post a couple grades for a critique.

Hell yeah - LOVE that lambo grade, Derek.
My current grades on the gulfM3 look pretty close to yours... those black wheels are difficult (retaining detail)

I went a little extreme with the grade but I dig it.

I used a 180 degree shutter most of the time as these were shot for video - not stills. The white Merc, IIRC was shot at 2k 240/500. Lambo was 24/48 and most of the Gulf M3 was 60/120.

The shoots have been fun but they don't pay all that great. Still fun to shoot this stuff and they help cover a little gear.
