GPI Trigger on Epic

I wanted to start a thread with known solutions and ideas for GPI trigger for EPIC.

I have two questions:

1. Will Origo work on Epic?

2. While playing with Canon Timer Remote Controller TC-80N3 I measured that it puts out about 3V pulse. Would it be suitable? Anyone that could recommend where to buy a socket to wire up a conversion cable?

red has a bare leads breakout cable for the gpi port in the store. cut the connector off the canon if it will work.
