Wifi onboard, 1080p60. They don't want to rush out the 4k version, but still... Exciting time!

In the same spirit of the Blackmagic Micro Cinema Camera, I can't wait the 4k Super35 sensor ;)

I dont need any smaller cameras then a gopro. To be interesting they should offer a new version with no fish eye and use cineform 4k with low compression. I pass on this one.

+1 on that Joel- there simply places and applications that require a tiny camera that the REDs and similar can't do. The Gopro Pro...

I would definitely appreciate a smaller camera than a GoPro. I've always felt its form factor was lacking. This one looks promising, more along the lines of the Contour camera. I do like your suggestion about a no fisheye version, that does get old quickly.

The smaller the better. However, I need a no fisheye version. I guess the existing Go Pro 4 will get an upgrade next year. The present Go Pro 4K is unusable in lot of places due to low light. So I need better high ISO performance as well as slow motion in 4K.

I'd actually take a larger GoPro if it meant a larger sensor with better low-light sensitivity and dynamic range. My main issue with the GoPro is that the quality doesn't intercut well with regular digital cinema cameras. The Hero 4 was an improvement to be sure.

Agree, and main reason why I don't own one and won't use one with Dragon footage...

But also because I just really dislike the superwide look, if GoPro made a double to 3 times the size with the improvements you mentioned plus a NO wider then 18/24mm perspective, I would be in for sure!

I bought one (hero4 black) just to serve as an emergency cam if I need to record something, while waiting for my Weapon. I like the fact it is wearable and can be stopped and started wirelessly... but I wouldn't use it to intercut with any RED footage. Maybe if they make a larger camera without going fisheye.
