  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Good "Walking Around" lens for your Epic?

Guys, it's an obvious Photoshop job. You can tell that it's just a wide zoom (17-35? 14-24?) stickied onto the front of the 70-200. It looks sort of 3D if you look at it as the two product photos were at different angles.

Really, if Nikon were to make such a lens, it would be an amazing technical feat. Of course, I would imagine it would be way bigger or even DX size (the 18-200 isn't that big).

As far as walking around lens goes for Epic, I'd say the Nikon 18-200 once they get an electronic Nikon mount. For Canon, it's a little harder to say as I'm not too familiar with their zooms, I'm a Nikon guy. Although, I can say that I'm doing just fine with the 28-135 IS zoom on my 5D Mark II for general photos and 3D texture gathering.

I´m surprised the tilt-shift feature goes without notice here. Fantastic lens. Next to the Batmobile its the coolest gadget to own.

Are you sure this isn't a joke?

I've been out of the loop of optics for a few years but I think this is not possible. At least with any quality of image.

hahahahaha!

I was just about to mention that it looks like there is tilt shift mechanics towards the rear of the lens.

A lens with this range, and tilth shift is totally impossible.. somebody made this up to get us all talking about it.

I noticed the T/S... It was kinda like the cherry on top of all the other silliness.
