There are a ton of hazer threads, but the good ones are all like 4 years old. If i dont want to drop $3k on a DF-50, what's in the sub $1k range that works? Or is better to just party fog and waft?

I found the Martin Magnum 2500, does anyone have experience with this? Seems to go for about $600ish

MBT HZ300 is what I bought. Compression hazer like the DF50. Uses oil (not water based) and starts pumping out haze instantly-no waiting!. Does a great job of making really nice even haze. Have had it for over a year with no issues. Have hazed up some decent sized rooms. Paid $500.

Thanks Matthew!
I found the HZ300 here http://www.amazon.com/MBT-Lighting-HZ300-Professional-machine/dp/B001L8KDV6
It says it's 1700cu/ft/min, which translates to under 50 cubic meters/min. Is that right, that the HZ300 is only 50cuM/min compared to 2500 for the Martin Magnum? That seems a gigantic disparity.

I have no clue about the math. I just know that I turn it on and in a minute or two and normally get the amount I want. But I am also not filling concert halls, just rooms for shafts of light and texture. If there's no draft in the room I've had it hang for hours with little loss.
