  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

good stuff with the latest cs4 builds for REDCODE

He answered a few posts back, he's using a 2nd graphics card to feed the plasma, my guess would be dvi to HDMI.

I wanted to know if it was a 8bit DVI or 10bit HDMI connection and which graphic card and plasma he was using?
Idees for a 10bit configuration?

i am using a quadro cx and the hp dreamcolor monitor, it is ok, but the quadro cx is a bit overpriced, but delivers 10bit through displayport.

ADOBE PREMIERE PRO CS4 and RED plug-in

Premiere Pro CS4 with the RED ADOBE CS4 INSTALLER (BETA) works like a dream. I have a fairly modest desktop system. Intel Q6600, Nvidia 9600 graphics card, 8 gig of memory. Editing is bug free and fast at 1k R3D presets and only marginally slower at higher res presets. The R3D files also drop into After Effects with no issues and the auto adjust gives a quick fast ball down the middle look that works great for a first pass screener for clients.

The arguement is over for those that have said RED has post production issues/problems. RED is READY for primetime, baby.

Any solution for mac? Is there an issue with limited graphics cards?

Premiere Pro is very unstable for me on the Mac with R3Ds, but After Effects is working quite well. So I stick to a FCP -> PPro (conversion only) -> AEFX workflow. An update seems to be on the way.

Hi,

Is it possible to download the beta version for Mac ?

If not, when is it supposed to be released ?

thanks

Antoine

There is a beta for the Mac version at RED's support site.

Antoine, the release is going to be very soon. It's looking great.

Hey thanks Kaku!

They told me at NAB that it was going to be around mid may, but i had no news since then. :)
