  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Good Luck, but NOT goodbye!

I received an email today from a man that I respect and call 'friend.' It was with a sad and heavy heart that I read this email. I couldn't believe what I was absorbing. My friend, mentor, confident and fellow patient zero is leaving the Red Community! (I'm not sure if I can publish his name, so I won't...)

This individual has been influential in every aspect of his professional career, not just at Red. He's been an massive impact on so many in our industry. I made the 'move' from Sony to Red cameras in part because of this man! Since that move... he's helped me in numerous ways. He's been there for me, whether it was a complaint, to lend a helping hand or to share in my victories!

You will be missed in our Red Community! I know you'll succeed in all of your future endeavors! So I say "good luck." I refuse to say "good bye." I know that we will continue our friendship. I know that we will continue to share our life events with one another and share in the trials, tribulations, achievements and elation that follow. So get out there and kick ass fellow Patient Zero! I know that you'll cause an infectious spirit where ever you land!

First Jim's announcement, now this. What does this portend for Red?

If Jarred, Travis or Caiti go next week... I'm finding a bridge to jump off of... that's HARD to do in Arizona!

Hi Curt,
Ted was my introduction to Red. We'll all miss his infectious enthusiasm. Thanks Ted!
Joe

Best wishes Ted, thanks for all you've done, much appreciated.

It was a real shock of an email to wake up to. It will be difficult (nigh in impossible) to replace ted as a frontman. I don't know a single other company at REDs level who has someone so friendly and approachable as their voice, and that has gone no short distance to helping make this such a tight knit community.

Ted was instrumental in me meeting so many members of this forum and indeed Industry and without him I doubt I would be where I am today.

All the best in whatever endeavour it is you take on ted.

Mashallah.
