had some quotes but the best I got was 600 pounds for a year.. but paid in advance.. monthly insurance seems to be treated as a 'loan' with interest... weird...

anyone know a good insurance to freelance with the red epic safely and not too expensive?

just got a quote for £25k of camera gear including my Scarlet-X from "PhotoGuard" Works out at about £70 per year..

Only good thing was it quoted as £65 per month..

Hope that helps..

Heard they sometimes refuse claims... even reasonable one from a guy who was insured 3 years ?

Hold on .. 70 a year or 65 a month? :)
Hmm should be £700 a year and (roughly) £65 per month.. Just read through the specs and its no good for Epic owners as the max single item is £15k...
i'll take the warning about claims though..
cheers

Simon

Any other advice on camera insurances out there?

I went with ACJ, very flexible with good replacement hire option if kit goes down too. Probably not the cheapest but they came highly recommended.

I got a quote from acj.. without liability its 70 pounds a month.. its great but until I start getting work I think ill keep my camera well hidden :)
