Gold mount battery solution

Sorry if this has been asked or covered on here but I’ve done some digging and can’t find a super clear answer. I’m purchasing my first Red next week and I’ll be using the base expander(not the Vlock version) but I’m looking for a Gold Mount battery solution. Trying to avoid Red’s expensive plate, and I know Wooden camera has an adapter but from what I can tell it’s only for the Vlock expander. Also, in my research I’ve seen people mention some issues with wooden camera accessories negatively affecting their cameras electronically. (Not sure if it’s a widespread issue or if it’s been resolved, just saw it mentioned on here and some say they avoid wooden camera products) Any tips on a reasonably priced solution would be great!

Hey Kerry, WC does make a cable-less battery plate, and they work great in my experience! They've cleaned up the electrical issues some time ago. I've got one for sale, I sent you a PM.

Ben's right, WC makes a great Gold Mount Cable-Less Battery Plate!

Only had one issue where the camera wouldn't start up, but I just took it off and re-seated the gold pins and it was good to go. Probably user error lol
