  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Go SAINTS!

Given that the Vikings actually beat the Saints a week ago (I do like the Saints), I'd say GO VIKES! (I like the Vikings more).

But congrats Saints on a great season, and the championship.

Good time to visit Bourbon St.

Who Dat say de gonna beat dem Saints?!!

Some of the weakest commercials in a SB in a long time, I thought.

I totally agree...

The commercials aired during the Super Bowl used to be one of the highlights of watching the game. Most of this year's commercials didn't work for me.

Saints played with a lot of heart...good to see them win

heh, I was about to write the same thing, but Tim beat us all to it.

a recessionary Super Bowl, for sure. terrible commercials. bring back the Bud Bowl...

oh, and the Who just looked old and slow. no way to sugar coat it. the audience shouldn't be sitting there thinking things like, "well, they don't look too bad for 65 year olds" - the Teenage Wasteland lyric just has an ironic flip, anymore...

instead of old bands and really lame new commercials, they should flip it around and give us retro ads and some fresh musical talent.

if they're going to try to capitalize on nostalgia, do in the commercials, not the halftime show!

lose those lame GoDaddy efforts and bring back the Swedish Bikini Team. drop the Who and give us the Black Eyed Peas or something...the thinking is all backwards.

but a fun game to watch. nice work, Saints.

Palm readings aren't free! But ya I hit the scores on the money but had to swap the teams. I amaze myself! :)

You should march on down to Greek Town and place a couple of bets! Don't forget to bet on the opposite of what you would normaly think though.

Sorry, Roberto. It doesn't work that way. Stats don't determine the winner, the final score does. Also, I've seen every Saints game this year and our offense was uncharacteristically SLOPPY that game (multiple dropped balls by our normally sure-handed receivers, Brees throwing wobbly passes, 3rd down issues). The game should have been a Saints blowout, not a Vikes win. The Vikes were sloppy too, except unlike the Saints, their sloppiness involved ball security.

Anyway,
SAINTS Super Bowl Champs!
WHO DAT!

Stats? That is not what I meant. But this thread isn't abut the Vikes Saints game.

Again, congrats to the Saints. I hope this brings more attention to the city to help with even more tourism dollars, to help re-build.

I heard they were saving the A-team in that game, letting them rest up. They knew they had the bowl in the bag.

A perfect season doesn't matter if you lose the Superbowl, then it isn't a perfect season anymore.

Winning the superbowl was more important, a lot of people were saying that losing to the Vikings was a strategically done and I think it totally makes sense.
