Gmail hack

I guess this recent one is pretty serious. I've been getting all kinds of phishing emails - obvious because some are from non-English speaking frinds with a subject written in English, and several from LinkedIn - which I closed some time ago - with some familiar and some unfamiliar names wanting to add me as a contact. Sure. It's non-stop the last few days.

Worse, I see about.blank showing up when I'm in Gmail, and click WEB, but it is quickly overridden. I use Mozilla, which supposedly blocks about.blank. Looks like it is near impossible to get rid of short of a reconfig. Sure hope I don't lose my gmail to some spam whores.


It's a weird world, this connected stuff. Arg. I want my island with the lone coconut tree and some sweet fishing gear.

Yah, real shame with these hackers hammering all these public areas,
Sony Pictures got hit too but I mean those guys left them selves wide open by the sounds of things,

Alas, we are in the times where information is openly available once you break down the walls and lots of people want to break down those walls...
Pretty sure it's safe to say before the Internet people were just a tad bit safer in terms of their info

if you're worried about your email getting hacked, change your password to something crazy ridiculous. Use uppercase, lowercase, numbers and symbols.

I read this article about a year ago and it scare the bejesus out of me. After reading it I immediately changed all my important passwords.

Nope. Never used Gmail, never intend to.
