Is this a standalone program or simply a QT plugin to read DPX's?

Also, does anyone know more about how the anamorphic unsqueeze works? It's be nice if it allowed for some sort of conversion (either through FCP L&T or Compressor 3 Export, etc) for an anamorphic unsqueeze to occur.

I was looking around on the website but couldn't figure out exactly how it all works or what exactly it does...

If you dl the preview, the manual is in there.

Its kind of neither. It's a very tweakable quicktime plugin which (occationally, I must add) lets you preview DPXs directly in Finder, too

The sequences behave as one file.

And there's some mad scientist/magic code in there, too...

Gotcha. So it works through quicktime. It just does more than a normal codec. correct?

Thanks for the fast reply, Gunleik.

Hi William,

You should be able to set the aspect ratio in the Importer section of the CineonDPX system preferences pane. You can then view the footage unsqueezed. This works with FCP, Compressor and even QuickTime Player.
