Hey guys

About to order some batteries and charger from Global Media Pro and I wanna hear from people who have ordered from there before and what they thought. Also how long will it take from date ordered till arrival time? Or anything else I should know about?

Thanks

Make sue you buy the -R type specifically for RED cameras.I ordered the S type and still dont know whether they will work with my Scarlet or not because i havnt got my Switronix V Mount yet. Some users say they will work,i just wont get the % reading on my LCD,some say they wont work at all.GMP wont let me return them for the right type coz they say they will have to pay the import duty on taking them back in and advised me to sell them on at a reduced rate so i will have to wait and see-here's hoping they do or i have the bother of trying to sell them!

I got the S type -*Li230S Lithium ion Battery 230WH and I have the VF plate - they work perfectly. No %, but the Scarlet will read every battery's voltage and show that on your display.

I have the 230 and my scarlet reads the percent and it works awesome. Never had a problem! Thumbs up!

I also use it with a RED belt battery clip

Very happy with my GMP batteries and the transaction. I think it took about a week to get them after the wire went through. The wire fees and shipping are high, but for something like $1100 I got 3 160Wh batteries and a 2 channel charger. The charger takes a long time to charge the 160's but it's very light and compact and I've been traveling it all over the place in my backpack. With the switronix plate you get battery % info on the monitor which is awesome - but you gotta get the -R version batteries. There's a whole section on their website for RED batteries.

I definitely recommend hired gun video's batteries. I think they actually turn out to be cheaper than gmp if you buy the quad/charger combo.

I ordered the GMP Li160S-R batteries and got ones that say, "Li160S" with a white sticker with two options: R Version and RR Version. RR Version is checked and it says "Compatible with Red at the top of the white sticker. However, I can only read voltage. I have an IDX plate. I'm checking with GMP to see if they can shed some light on this.

I got these also. One 150 lasts approximately 2:45 mins.

yup I get about 2.5 powering the camera, touch/ evf bomb and pix240... I have 4- 150s and they last me all day without a question!

I had ordered a pair of 160S and they worked for a few hours and then suddenly stopped working. I'm waiting on my REDStation to do a firmware update and hoping that'll solve it. Not sure what could be wrong because it seems like people aren't having problems with the 160S.

No trouble yet with the 160's. They run the camera for about 2:45 but take 3 hours to charge, so I bought 3.
Cheers,
Sam
