Global Cinematography Institute just announced: "Expanded Cinematography: In-Production Crew Seminars" -- Learn more about Camera and Lighting Department from the award-winning GCI Faculty, including: David Stump, ASC, Jon Tower, Richard Mall, Bob Kertesz and Jason Knutzen.
"Camera Department" Seminar at Radiant Images in Los Angeles (Camera) on Saturday, October 11th, and "Lighting Department" Seminar at Hollywood Rentals in San Fernando (G&E) on Sunday, October 12th. Students can purchase tickets to both days, or just one of the two days, on the GCI website! Cost to attend both days is $295, cost to attend just one day is $180.
Camera Dept. topics include: How to conduct yourself on-set, how to prep a camera package, how to evaluate different camera systems, the role of the DIT, DIT tools for image management and LUT creation, and more.
Lighting Dept. topics include: How to work as an on-set electric, basics of power distribution, safety, working with new lighting technology, the art of gripping, how to load / un-load a grip truck, and more.
