  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Glitched frames on scarlet

I don't know what cause it but I had this problem too, although it was decently rare, and have seen it once (out of hundred's of hours footage) on a friends camera. I sent mine into Red about 7 months ago and I've only seen it about once or twice at the most since...

I had the same problem last weekend on a shoot. It occured with both battery and ac power. Formatted a new card, still there. Not sure what it was, but what resolved it for me, and I know this isn't a long term solution, is to reset camera to factory settings. Would be good to know what is going on there..seems to be a fairly common problem as some friends of mine have had it happen on their cams.

Same here. About 1-3 clips every few months. Monday I had one long take with 110 bad frames.

PL, Canon mount, AC, Battery, 6:1, 10:1, 12:1, hand held, sticks lockoff, Steadicam, 30deg F, 100 F, card with 90% avail, card with 20% avail. Rocket, no rocket, direct from SSD and copies. I can't find a specific item or setup which causes it. I've sent in SSDs w dropped frame footage for evalu and no solution.

I shot a project earlier this week and the editor showed me 5 junk frames in 1.5 hours of footage. The only variables that where different was that I upgraded firmware recently and used ac power, I've never used ac power on a shoot

Yesterday shot 10:1, 200G of footage. 130 clips. Clip 127 has one dropped / bad frame. End of the day, shooting interviews on AC power, clips average 3-5 minutes each.

Edit - Fan = auto, Roll speed set to 38%. Interiors, 72 deg F ambient temp. PL mount, red primes.

I have just recreated the issue only this time a recording error has come up "Recording Error" on a different SSD card ac power and this seems to only be happening on long takes when my fan speed is low 35% and less

We are having problems as well. First time we had to send it back to RED. They told us it was "the batteries" then changed the power board i think. We then got it back and now we are having the same corrupted frame issues. This is really not ok.
